Call your representatives

We encourage you to channel your concerns into action by calling or emailing your representatives. 5calls.org and https://ncnewsline.com/ are helpful sources of information. Also, if you have a call to action you would like us to share in a future email, please send that information to blowingrockpersisters@gmail.com

One option this week would be to contact our state legislators (State Sen. Hise, State Rep. Pickett, State Rep. Hall) to urge them to pass a state budget that fully funds our public schools and includes resources to help the estimated 650,000 North Carolinians expected to lose Medicaid due to the federal budget cuts.
